Welcome Brothers and Friends

About Our Lodge

West Bend Lodge No. 434 has been the home of freemasons in West Bend and Lewisville since it received its charter on January 14, 1891. Seven charter members, five of whom were members of Farmington Lodge No. 265, requested, from the Grand Lodge of North Carolina, the privilege of forming a lodge nearer to West Bend during a time when travel to Farmington was long and cumbersome. Since its inception 117 years ago, West Bend Lodge has grown to more than 100 members who have, over the years, contributed greatly to their community and Masonry.

Mission of Freemasonry in North Carolina

The mission of Freemasonry in North Carolina is to raise the moral, social, intellectual, and spiritual conscience of society by teaching the ancient and enduring philosophical tenets of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, which are expressed outwardly through service to God, family, country, and self under the Fatherhood of God within the Brotherhood of Man. —The Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of North Carolina
